Lollywood
Film
industry of Pakistan is called Lollywood. After the separation of Pakistan from
Indo-Pak Subcontinent, Pakistan established their own entertainment industry as
'LOLLYWOOD'. Lollywood produce Films in Urdu and Punjabi (languages common in
Pakistan and India). However there are some dialogues in English language as
well.
The
word 'Lollywood' is the mixture of 'Lahore' and 'Hollywood' because originally
the root of the industry was in Lahore. In 1989, a columnist invented the term
in his magazine and people embraced it.
